Operated by the husband and wife team of Randy Dalton and Brenda Kusan, Impressions in Decor is about returning to a past era of handcrafted, quality pieces of furniture and decor accessories. Since the age of 12 Randy has been interested in woodworking after building an 8' hydroplane in his Grade 8 shop class. Today Randy spends much of his time in the studio designing and crafting new products. Brenda is an interior decorator and faux finisher by trade. Brenda has always wanted to work with furniture pieces and now is able to create works of art from the items originally crafted by Randy.
Taking great pride in our work, each piece is designed personally by Randy & Brenda. In order to create a new product, many prototypes are created, working out the details to ensure their beauty, but also to ensure their functionality and finetuning the crafting process to keep our costs reasonable. Each item, once crafted, is designed specifically to create a powerful feeling within the room. For example, our zen like bath/spa accessories create an immediate feeling of relaxation, or our customized serving trays that create an immediate feeling of history and heritage. Many of our pieces of furniture also become the key piece within the room, from which a designer will design around.
Once a new product is designed, the crafting process falls to Randy. Working in the studio, Randy diligently works toward creating a piece not only of beauty, but of quality second to none. Since each item is crafted by hand, each is guaranteed for our lives and your happiness.
Once the item is crafted, Brenda works her magic. Working with paint, stain, and various finishes, the items come to life through the embellishment and talents of Brenda's faux finishing and decorative painting experience. Once the work is complete, the product is protected through many coats of polyurethane to protect it through the ages. After all, all our products are made with heirloom quality in mind. They will be the last you will ever buy.
